Travel Performance Reports

We have provided new reports to aid input validation and results tracing and to analyze the benefits of investment alternatives at a per-trip level. Refer to the TREDIS User Manual for more details on the attributes of each report beyond the information provided here.

These features were designed in collaboration with Michigan DOT and funded by the State of Michigan.

Overview of Travel Report

The new Overview of Travel report shows performance metrics for travel, including miles per trip, minutes per trip, speed, and fraction of miles traveled in congestion.

The dropdown controls at the top left include a Breakdown and a Perspective dropdown. The Breakdown options include By Purpose and By Mode, while the Perspective options include Vehicle or Passenger/Ton. Changes in performance metrics between the base and project scenarios by year.

Benefit per Trip Report

The Benefit per Trip report shows change in benefits per trip -- passenger trips for passenger modes (including Personal, Commute, and Business purposes) and vehicle trips for Freight purposes. When represented as a benefit per trip, it is easier to represent the user experience and understand whether it is improving from the Base to Project alternative. The Change in Trips column indicates whether benefit changes are attracting more trips to a mode.
