2024-05 Template Update

The Import Template (6.02) for TREDIS has several new tabs that allow users to easily backup, export, and import project specifics that would previously need to be manually entered.

For exports, the additional data tabs will be included in all exports of TREDIS projects. Additionally, new documentation tabs provide helpful reference.

For all imports, the additional data tabs are all optional, so these enhancements are backward compatible and TREDIS continues to support the import of 6.01.

Trip Balancing UI and Import Template Changes

The Trip Balancing interfaces in TREDIS have been renamed to better reflect their functionality. Accessed via the Trip Balancing button on the Travel page, the screen now labeled Basic Balancing allows users to determine the percentage of induced by year and purpose, where the screen now labeled Advanced Balancing allows users to further determine the percentage by region where regions would differ.

Additionally, in the import-export template, the Trip Balancing data is now exported and importable via the Basic Balancing, Advanced Balancing (FB) and Advanced Balancing (OD) tabs. The Basic Balancing and Advanced Balancing tabs will be imported to the respective interfaces where applicable.

Documentation Tabs on Import Template

A Read Me tab has been added for general orientation. A Tabs and Columns tab has been added to extensively document the meaning and use of fields on each of the tabs included in the template.

Commodity Mix and Commodity Valuation on Import Template

The import-export template now includes tabs for Commodity Mix and Commodity Valuation, which allow users to import and export commodity mix values and commodity valuation classifications. (These values can be changed manually in the TREDIS interface via the Freight Logistics button on the Travel page.)

The tabs labeled simply Commodity Mix and Commodity Valuation are for facility-based projects, where the complementary tabs Commodity Mix (OD) and Commodity Valuation (OD) are provided for OD-based projects.
